Hi, Why Yahoo and Nasdaq show FMR still holds about 8.5 millon shares of YMI,but neither CNN money nor CNBC shows any holdings of FMR LLC. According my experience, Both CNN money and CNBC are faster in institional holdings reporting Than Yahoo and NASdaq. Anybody here has the most update data concerning institional holdings. Don't bullsh,t without DD. Please state facts with no pumping or bashing sh,t. thank you very much.
your thoughtful and polite reply note. I really appreciate it. I really like the way we discuss the topic.
Same wishes to you. Good luck with your investments. I do believe fortune bonds with people of reason and wisdom.
I just want to make sure FMR are still with us. It will make wonder why if they have sold out its positions in YMI. you know FMR might make some mistakes. I believe nobody is always right whe it comes to making investment decisions.
yeah, the more institutions holding the better. What i can tell you from my research, is that CNN Money pulls their data from BATS. CNBC pulls their data from Reuters. NASDAQ pulls from Edgar. searing both BATS and Reuters, I cannot find any institutional ownership info for any stocks, which tells me that the ownership data is pulled from another source. That's the reason it's called the web, everything pulls from everywhere else. I doubt CNBC or NASDAQ, for that matter, have someone on staff with the main job of researching Institutional Ownership of all stocks and manually entering that data on a constant basis. I tend to take different sites data with a grain of apprehension and trust my own DD. Again, good luck and I wish you financial prosperity in all your endeavors.
Thank you very much for your reply. I don't think I will agree with you over the issue that which sites have more accurate and updated data regarding institional holdings. I did do some cross reference. moreover, according to my experience with AMRN, I found CNN money and CNBC are much more better in accuracy and updatedness. What I really concern is: does FMR LLC still hold YMI or It already sold out. I am a big fan of FMR. I think they are pretty good at choosing stocks and time of entry.
for your reference.
yeah, that's the point of my email. I am completely aware that the info is from 31/03 i would think that a 2nd party site wouldn't be as up to date as the 1st party site, though perhaps CNN Money and CNBC are the holy grail of information by which all others should revere. Again, that's just my observation and opinion. The topic in which we are discussing, will not deter my position in anyway for I think we're dealing with a semantics issue.. good luck in your trading.
I use Fidelity and according to their web site as of 3/31 their YMI holdings are as follows:
Mutual Fund Holdings
Fidelity Select Portfolios 742.0K
Fidelity Canadian Equity Fund 221.8K
Fidelity Advisor Health Fund 179.8K
Fidelity Small Cap America Fund 155.0K
thanks for your answer.Actually, I have this information. I just forgot to mention it in my previous message. As a matter of fact. Both yahoo and Nasdaq provide data as of 31/03. But CNBC and CNN money obviously are more accurate. Please log on the websites to find out. I am just wondering.....
