Mgmt had been telling partners to pay up or stay out. We have a real jewel and we'll be able to take it to ph3 on our own. Slumdawg has to be patient. Nimo lives. Screening of Cytopia library continues.
Partnership can come in weeks, months, or never. But there are lots of activity right now on the partnership negotiations.
If YMI does it alone, my only concern is progress will be really slow because they can't test multiple indications and trial designs to increase likelihood of success, and that would mean CYT387 will be too far behind other jak inhibitors.
No questions were asked, not even about their fat pay increases.
Regarding partnership discussions, they did confirm there is lots of activity at present - as in active negotiations? That would be interesting, since i thought it had cooled a bit since their last significant data release at last year's ASH.
While the CEO was avoiding making a statement about which way they're going to approach PIII (alone v's partner v's another plan etc) I wonder if he gave anything away when he said something like ..." I can't discuss this any further for competitive reasons" .... This may (or may not) mean he can't let on about the details of the partnership deal they're currently making. If the reason you give, for not detailing discussions with potential partners, is "competitive", doesn't that imply a deal is made (being made)?
I may be stretching for this one, but it's the first time I've heard Nick use this "competitive" justification for limiting the amount of information he can give.
