Stansberry Research's buy recommendation -- at what price?

So I was very interested to read there are a group of people here who own shares based on a buy recommendation by someone named Matt Badiali at Stansberry Research -- and that he advises a stop-loss sell order at 30% below purchase price.

Could someone tell me what price his buy recommendation was, and what price his stop-loss is set for???

(If there are a lot of sell orders entered at a specific price, that would be useful to know in advance.)

    • So I guess those following the Stansberry recommendation have sold out this morning? (If it's true they also recommended a stop loss at $2.67 or so.)

      Please let us know. Thanks!

    • recommended at $3.81 on 9-3-13. buy up to price is $4.00.

    • I really am surprised that with all the people posting here that they are in this stock based on a buy recommendation by Stansberry... that nobody feels comfortable to post what price the recommendation actually occurred. Are you all too embarrassed by how poorly it has performed?

I'm sure you're not still in it based on Matt's saying it was at the "top of my shopping list" at $10 back in 2011. So I guess he sold it at a loss from then (30%?), and subsequently issued a more-recent buy at a lower price.

Well, I'm just guessing -- since the people who actually know appear to be tongue-tied.

      • If you want to know what the original time frame and price of the Stansberry recommendation go to their website and do a search on Silvercorp it's there. Or you could troll the board and ask someone else to do it for you. I found it very easily but up to a month ago I had never heard of them.

Let's not pretend that SVM is the only silver miner down in share price. Compare AG, EXK , CDE and the chart is about the same. So all the SVM bashers have a Carnes type agenda IMHO. It's not that the company it's self is flawed its that the sector went down.

Also unlike all the companies I listed above only SVM has zero debt. SVM is among the lowest cost per ounce miners of silver when you take in the by products like zinc and lead.

      • Yes, rogecc is me, oopsi! Oopsi!!! :-)

      • LoL Funny, asian! I may be incorrect, but s far as I'm aware, Badiali Must have reiterated Buy recs all the way down from that 2011 $10 pricetag because when I first started posting here a year ago June, it was soon afterward that I saw posts referencing a Jeff Clark along with Matt Badiali advocating Silvercorp as a solid buy right around the $6 level. Just do a search here from the window above, simply typing in 'Matt,' then go back through 'All' for some revealing info! Why, you'll even find a post there from me discussing how ol' "shrewd trader Matt," as he is esteemed, was being a Grandmaster of shredding _investors'_ money, as people were latching on, in Love with the stock, ignorant to the fact they were succumbing to a hideous slope of hope.

As always, I am right there with you in your negative, uh, "Bashing campaign" during SVM's unraveling in process, not at all tongue-tied in expressing viewpoints. Could be some short-term rallying shaping up, but once more, as before, that should be another ideal opportunity to S.O.S. Sell and/or Short On Strength, because the stock, its technicals and fundamentals remain...

        BROKE_DOWN!!!

    • So... I'm still very curious to know what price Stansberry/Badiali made his latest "buy" recommendation for SVM -- and just as curious to know where the 30% stop loss orders are set. But nobody here seems to want to post those details.

I searched online, but this was all I could find:

...That puts China-focused miner Silvercorp (SVM) at the top of my shopping list. ...The bit of price strength at $10 per share could be the end of Silvercorp's big fall. This stock is definitely on our shopping list."
