midwest area laying off 249 to 300 linehaul drivers all this freight will be put on rail or outside carriers this company is really a awful place to be.we need a union please to any union rep read this we need job security
I have been working for an airline with a union for over twenty three years. There are pros and cons to every union. Of the cons is it creates such a sense of entitlment amongst the workforce. We are the highest paid in within our peer group, get dollar per dollar match on our 401k and yet the worker keeps wanting more.
wrong it is all about getting ten cents on the dollar we have the freight to move fedex is using more rail service and outside carriers to move the freight.for a company that dislikes a union sure does not mind getting in business with them to make bigger profit.also going to be hard to make ten cents a dollar in this economy when the usa has very little manufacturing left. all about protecting your job what is left of them in this country .
