WAITING UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO PR IS A GOOD THING
They are purposely waiting until the last minute (i.e., Jan. 31st) to PR for a reason -not because they have bad data and are dreading making the news or on some sort of last hurrah/vacation. It is either they are allowing as many events as they can to come in or they need all the time they can get for further negotiations. Further, if its the former, it could be one of two things: 1) they are at the cusp of 33% and hoping some late arriving events push them over the threshold, or 2) they have good data and are padding the score/sweetening the outcome. Data mining/sifting would not have produced such a certain deadline. This takes miserable fail off the table. I have such a sly feeling inside that that's what's going on.
A wink to management. ;o) If you would have counted all patients at the 380 event milestone by attributing a pfs value of their last clean scan date, regardless of whether they've evented, you wouldn't have had to do this.
