I've lost 40k.
Man oh man does that sting.
And I am not rich, not even well off. I'm just a working stiff who made a BAD mistake.
I'll remember this, oh you bet I will... because in several years I'll be saying "look at how far I've come, and it all started the day I dropped 40k on that flipping stock. What if I didn't loose that day? Would I have gotten to where I am today? Maybe, but probably not. I almost cant believe I'm saying it but it was Worth It."
Pause. Take walk. Move on. Move up.... and then later Look Back on this Fondly!
It'll be alight !!!
Because the potential payoff is huge. This week, i got results from KERX and CLSN. My investment in KERX has tripled in value, CLSN has dropped like a stone. Moral of the story on biotechs-- do more reading in the science journals on stocks, pay no attention to hype, or even "models" of success.
Your point is understood.
But your sincerity is seriously undermined when you make a completely ridiculous statement like: "A little secret: even if the data was good, the stock would have dropped."
This is not the time to go on the attack either, buddy.
A LOT of people made mistakes and were hurt today.
I feel for you :(, there are others that lost even greater sums of money. I didn't lose as much but it still stings, management sounds dejected, they were banking big on this trial succeeding. Just goes to show ph2 and ph3 can have wildly different outcomes.
