Will the next Seeking Alpha hit piece drop the stock another 15%?
And what will it take to get CLSN management to finally respond?
Is the "unacceptable" percentage drop 25%? 35%? 50%?
See, the bashers and shorts now know 15% is doable, and no problem for CLSN management.
So, why not do it all again?
You maybe right on target. What will cause a turn around on CLSN? At this point I doubt the conference next week will trigger a major change.
Let's say the stock trades flat until next week.
And then let's say the conference is stellar, and the stock subsequently jumps up 25%. By any measure, that'd be a big one-day pop.
However, that big one-day pop would simply take CLSN back to where it was trading two days ago.
This is what happens when a company's management doesn't aggressively counter events such as the story posted yesterday by Seeking Alpha.
The stock takes a major hit, and later even the very best news ends up being irrelevant relative to where the stock was trading prior to the negative event.
Moreover, this is what happens when scientists and academics run a company, and not market-savvy businessmen.
