HFMD is a very big problem in developing countries, hard for some privilaged people to understand!
I doubt if the leaders of emerging countries would agree with a spur of the moment, Wall Street video about the non-need for a HFMD vaccine. A video that infers a disease sickening ten of thousands of people around the world every year will be considered trivial by the market! Maybe the maker should ask the people affected by the disease how needed it is? The governments responsible for keeping it under control don't consider it trivial either! 700 or 900 lives lost is far too many when it is your child or relative that dies. It actually amazes me that a person would try to negate years of work by tireless scientists just to hold the price of a stock temporally down, but hey . . . anything goes for a buck right? No, in fact, anything doesn't go, just your honor and sensitivity. IMO, luck
Are you referring to the #$%$ at Motley Fool's article. Nothing about Wall St. would ever surprise me. Nine hundred lives is a drop in the bucket I guess. This is why WHY GREED is capitalisms fatal flaw.
His facts were plain wrong. If you look at this text from an article in June, the number of cases in May were more than double the cases he said happened in an entire year.
In June, 34,768 cases were reported and 17 people died from the disease in Hunan, the statement said. According to the Ministry of Health, over 460,000 people were infected by the disease in May, leading to 132 deaths.
Thanks, you are right, this is what we've been waiting for! I sold none, but added another 1303 shares today during the afternoon drop. It amazes me how clueless most people are about this one! The they have no idea of what this company is building. If they did, they would be adding at every opportunity. It will be interesting to see if SVA shows any mumps vaccine and rabies vaccine sales on the next earnings. Also, I'm interested in how various country registrations are going and why no news in Mexico.
Also, I envision an eventual IPO for the animal division. I wonder if some good news about the pneumonia vaccine isn't just around the corner. Lots of good things to look foreward to!
Earnings coming soon and SVA may not show a profit for the 4th quarter. With the expenses of taking EV-71 through phase 3, it will be tough, but then again the 4th quarter is usually good. No estimates that I can find.
Luck IMO Inspire more, sleep -
