Quite the opposite occurred. He is wishing that more problem banks would crop up in the Northeast so they could be a buyer on some of these FDIC-led wind downs. Mentioned they might need to raise capital to do such an acquisition.
Thanks for that info.
What a twist of fates here! One poster tries to start a rumor hoping for a sell out, another poster hopes they dilute so they can take over other loser banks.Gee, why does the Hudson flow down hill?Gravity, or gravitas?I ask ya?
Is it that you are too lazy, or stupid to find these comments in the presentation yourself? His discussion of the FDIC deals starts at 37:50. Then in the context of expansion in general he specifically says "There may be a day when we need more capital so support some of that" at 38:25.And I wouldn't see such a deal as being dilutive. It ought to be rather accretive since they basically get the deposits for free from the FDIC.
Both of those posts had merit, unlike yours.
