    Agree with your assessment. It would also be nice if interest rates were allowed to go up a bit but with Bernanke at the helm who knows when that will happen. I don't see much more downside for HCBK and it's up more than 10% from 12 month low. Won't be selling this baby anytime soon.

    • agree ! the whole dang sub sector is very cheap unloved and well shorted !

      community bank ETF many are short on leverage maybe that why such wild swings

      this stock was driven higher in 2008-2009 into high teens during a short covering

      now driven down i say way too much so more then ever the texture of this market is such that even savings and loans gett pumped up and down way to much .

      i see a day of disconnect comming

      any how after the 6 years after a bubble bursts seems a good time to go long cleaner bancorps it is like buying bancorps in 1936 blue skies ahead happy days are here again. i hope??????? for bankinvestor/?

      love small cheap thrifts many are trading and many are very clean and cheap...
