I don't have any true insight into SMG litigation. But they are appealing the decision and as a result have posted a bond for the full cost of the judgement. This is a big ticket and is costing them 9% interest. Just the willingness to pay the 9% interest - over 300K$ per year - seems to me as a sign that they see some possibility to overturn the decision. Otherwise, this is crazy. But they have also accrued for the cost, so it should not have any impact on future results other than the upside if they succeed legally.
