I'm required to update, true investor's want facts! I see some of the low end day-traders have been pumping $20's again. Well here is a fact, they pumped it in the mid $16's and told you to add, ice princess told you to add in the mid $15's before it went down to the mid $14's, see a pattern investor's? As a matter of fact, some have been pumping $30's since 2009. I hereby mandate we put a year on that $30 number?
So what is the state of Genworth, since earnings and the best earnings in 6 years, plus a positive note from the "Street", Genny started the day after earnings and good news at 15.15 and closes at 14.93. Mix in almost a month of buyers and sellers after earnings, today the stock is at 15.25 as of now.
So, since positive earnings and a BV of $30+-, plus positive data in housing market today, sp is up less than 2.5% since earnings and that's also a 15% discount from 52 week high - 50%BV on the lowest volume I've seen in years.
To the quality longs, I ask you to be cautious, do not add shares IMO until someone can explain why.
I'm still a hold in Genworth, making money elsewhere for now! But I have a vested interest, so my opinion matters!
Some investor's like to see the facts, so there you go, something has happened and I can't put my finger on it. If things are better than ever and almost a month after earnings, why in the hell are wall street and institutions not buying this story for 50% below BV after good news? Now the difficult part of the math, speculator's paid 16.6X for shares betting on good news, now after the good news they don't want it at 15.2X.
You are a trader soul. the action of GNW over the past week is normal for a stock that had the run up GNW has had. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. Patient investors like me want to see the next quarter of earnings. If it comes in at 40 cents we move up again. Time will tell, but quit trying to scare people out of this company's stock. Everything in on course in my opinion. GNW is not a traders stock...go trade Telsa or something and leave us alone.
