only 27 million outstanding. They're gonna increase the float on this thing by more than 50%.
This makes a statement to potentially large customers that they want to be players and have the means to do so. The need to demonstrate that they can ramp up and produce in large volumes. This is a great first step and as long as the share rice remains stable it is proof of capital.
Wall Street/institutions want a "chunk" of UQM now that they've identified the stock's potential. And "chunks" are not available on the open market with this float/volume.
UQM is in the driver's seat -- I expect share placements will be tied to expansions/contracts.
Well it looks like I'm in this for the long haul now as I've been build up a sizable position over the last week.
I'll be keeping a close eye on this one looking to accumulate as the price drops.
"(1) Estimated solely for the purpose of calculating the registration fee pursuant to Rule 457(c), based on the average of the high and low prices of the registrant's common stock as reported on the NYSE Amex on July 24, 2009."
...does not appear to limit what price they can sell stock for. The max price was used for calculating registration fee.
They clearly need to spend money to make money. I know it feels dilutive but they need the bankroll to expand operations to meet their current contract obligations. I think this might be the last dilution considering the time line of substantially higher revenues.
Agreed, this seems like a good dilution. Even if it's offered at $3.00/share, our market cap is going up, which means everyone who bought in to the new shares thinks the company as a whole is more valuable now than a day ago. That has to bode well for the future share price. Management timed the CODA news release to perfection. Just enough time for hype, not enough time for letdown, and now there are tons of people itching to get shares for a price that is 50% higher than a week ago.
This is precisely what great co's and great managers do. Dilution imo means nothing. Read the glickstein theory on dilution. I love what uqm is doing babyyyyyy
