One of these days that sell on earnings isnt going to work and the stock will take off without you.>>> Yeah--I got caught on SPW with that one. I thought all the rumor of improving conditions and earnings were priced in, so I got out. Then they cane out with new guidance and the stock is up $4 in two days.
I hold the stock long term but play options to utilize the earnings predictability. As long as my options are profitable I don't get greedy. It's not fun to be holding Calls on a stock and are up nicely on them only to watch them tank and expire worthless. I've done that and learned my lessons. I hope the stock does take right off!
You got the high value and the approx 600k in volume. The US$ getting stronger will hurt the 2nd 1/4 numbers. January is the 3rd month of Q2 and ususally the biggest numbers. PLL price may be getting top heavy.. It needs something to oush it over the "wall". The GE arangement will be helpful. PLL and GE have had many years of good relations in the Aero business as well as in in Industrial arena
Always fascinated by the Pall lovers. Well here is my take. To get my money again, EK and team need to learn from GE. They need to show me that their management team is aligned with shareholders. Try this!
Did you know - <<< GE executives are mandated to own at least 4 times their annual salary in GE stock.>>>
If EK and team want to show us they know what they are doing, they should own this stock!!!
The dollar is still much weaker than it was in the 2nd quarter last year and has been at it's weakest levels for most of this 2nd quarter. This current quarter will be compared to last years 2nd quarter. A two day stronger dollar is not going to make much difference. Besides Pall management should have been hedging against the Euro at these lofty levels to protect their interests. Most big companies do this. You don't want your earnings dictated by what the currency markets do. The stock is not top heavy either. It's just getting back to closer fair value from being undervalued. Earnings should be solid as business is strong.
