    smooookin: Out of WIND

Although I am long on SAP, I have some second
    thoughts.
My sister works with SAP software for a major
    German
company, and hates it. She has horror stories to tell
about user unfrienliness and wasted time and stupid
    ways to do things.
This makes it very clear to me
that SAP has a bad philosophy when it comes to
designing software. I guess they never ask the user's input
and like to force the users adapt to the software
rather than the other way around. If I would have heard
my sister's horror stories before I would not have
bought SAP, for the time being I hope to make some
reasonable profit and sell the stock. I do not want to be
negative on SAP (hey I do own the stock), I just hope that
their stupid managment gets the number one message in
software design: GUIs that are user friendly
    is a must
rather than a convenience or a luxary!!!!
    Maybe SAP
managment concentrates too much on making a cheap buck by
hiring bad COBOL programmers for Y2K retrofitting to
introduce new software bugs in code that wasn't broke to
    begin with.
Message to SAp is: please make your
software user friendly and take care of your customers,
    otherwise someone else will!!!
