Great chance to get into the booming wireless market on the cheap! This will get much much bigger than just cell phones (handhelds, gaming, etc). RFMD is leading the industry and its stock is now dirt cheap.

    • You can go back 3 months or 4 months or possibly longer.....

I said that way before any THOUGHT from anyone even TXN
      And the reason....
They're splitting off a business for an IPO! Which will give them the strength and complete utter control of the ENTIRE WIRELESS COMPONENT SECTOR and to accomplish that they MUST....MUST take the one with the LARGEST MARKET SHARE besides themself and that IS

      RFMD

      PERIOD....here end of story

      • First of all, I would to congratulate all the retail shorts out there who had the balls to short this stock the last two CC. There seemed to be alot of very positive fundamental news out there that would have had this stock going in the opposite direction.

I also have to admit, that the management of RF gave some very seemingly misleading PR releases to prop up this stock prior to this last CC. It seems as though they wanted the fall of the stock to land around the $7.50 mark.

Still to this day, I find it difficult to comprehend the poor / inept equity capital management by Priddy and Bruggsworth (whoever the hell the CEO is.....rarely hear from him)

The only conclusion and reasonable rationale that I have come to believe is that the management of RF is shorting the hell out of their own Co. or they have ulterior motives to drive down the stock price.

The other explanation is that due to their weak insider ownership %, they really don't give a shit about increasing shareholder value and therefore they have blinders on and can only see five years down the road. We''ll guess what, with this type of attitude the stock price will go to $1 and there will be no equity capital for future growth or R&D and thus Bankruptcy, merger or acquisition will inevitably occur.

We'll guess what, maybe the true reason to slam down one's own stock price with negative spin of news by management is not due to shorting, or lack of forsight, but maybe due to a buyout at a pre-arranged price. I certainly don't think it would be too far fetched for $12 / share but who knows.

The way RF's management has fucked up the last two CC's, it would make sense to shake out the retail investors and sell to the institutional investors who would back such a deal.

If this does not happen, then the CEO and Priddy must go!! Look what has happened to MOT since they pressured their incompetent CEO to quit. RF has too much potential to allow a couple of dumbasses fuck it up for the rest of us!!!

    • this maybe the reason rfmd is acting so contrary... the price is somehow being held in check before the oficial annoncement so that it does not run way over the buyout price agreed on behind closed doors. it will run fast from 7 to 12 after the announcement and then stop trading until the deal is complete.
rfmd news and projections have been to good not to have risen at least 20% imo...

    • Nice Try dude ;)

    • no one will ever buy rfmd as long as the poison pill is effective
