    • 'bout time. I sit here no more than 200 yards away from I-19, 20 miles south of Tucson and its like the fringe of a battle zone sometimes. Helicopters buzzing, police lights flashing while cops apprehend illegals as one woman is caught and the four men riding w/her take off. Illegals jumping people fences evading the border patrol, illegals knocking on home windows , doors asking for water. These are mostly the good hard working folks looking to make a life for themselves...but breaking the law. Of course I can't tell if someone is a drug dealer or hard working stiff. Its bad and the FEDs abandoned their responsibility to guarantee the pursuit of life liberty and happiness along our borders. So, maybe the FEDs feel the backlash.

      • The violence has spread the last 10 weeks southeast from Juarez now to as far as Acuna across the border from Del Rio.

Soon the band of unlivability will stretch from Juarez to Laredo.

Border Patrol agents are thick as flies from Fort Stockton to Del Rio.

This is not a situation under control, and illegal immigrants are the least of the threat.

It's lawless violence going unchecked and it's long past the time to get real with our own "Colombia".

    • I know how "sending troops" goes. More often than not, it's a paper shuffle. And, don't spend too much time casting pearls before swine on this board. You'll get the same results.

    • A Tea Bagger thanking the Black President for sending troops to his state?

Do you people stand for anything whatsoever?

    • PHOENIX (AP) -- The Obama administration plans to announce Tuesday that it will send as many as 1,200 National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to improve border security, an Arizona congresswoman said.

Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords also said in a statement released Tuesday that President Barack Obama will request $500 million in funding for border security.
