What's with this stock?
All the details seem to say it's a buy.
Imput please---I'm new to this stock.
Thanks
You are correct! Erie does not want to tell us his story. That's o.k..
BlueCubeMan...looks like I struck a pretty deep nerve on the great eeerie.
He can't answer the question because it will show how petty his contempt is for SYY.
For the record: I do not now, nor have I ever been an employee of SYY directly or through any of it's subsidiaries.
That said: Let's hear from the great eeerie or is he to busy somewhere with a dictionary and spellcheck correcting the grammar of an obscure post on a WalMart website message board?
Rest well eeerie.
I don't see trucks at the trendy places. I see specialized distributors. The bartenders and managers I know (maybe not the best statistical sample) say the trucks are bad for business.
Our case per truck avg. is 700+ per day. Yes that is usaally "my" lighter day. I was just comparing my cases that day aganist the comp.. Roll on!!
C'mon cube 600 peices? What was that a slow Tuesday.
Dude the corperate average is supposed to be 735 so if you're only delivering 600 then your router isn't doing a very good job.
600 peices, sheesk, that's like a day off with pay.
<<Sysco trucks don't seem to pull up to new trendy restaurants at least where I live.>>
You got that right Sleepy becuase those new trendy restaurants are corperate owned and have their own commesaries and pay the cheapest rate possible to deliver their own product. Not alot of money to be made there and it doesn't fit into Syscos primary objective.
As for Wendys? They're booming around here but the food is just not that good. IMO
What trucks do you see at the "trendy" places? I spoke to 1 of my fellow drivers(local competitor) the other day. He went out with 400 cases, I had 600. Another driver(US FOODS),has not been going out with much more and in fact he wants to come to work for Sysco. In my area Sysco is taking market share from them.
thats decent research...now see which ones have the Sysco truck pulling up to them.
The problem with this stock wasn't the recession. It was the recovery. And I worry that people stopped eating at Wendy's and going to church camp when the economy got better. Sysco trucks don't seem to pull up to new trendy restaurants at least where I live. That is in essence the question.
Question was direct, how about an answer? How did Sysco Corp.get you so upset? c'mon, should I sell? Help out a ole Baffoon like me please. You the man!!
they don't have to eat out but they DO! Take a drive around and look at the restaurant parking lots for research. All full where I live everyday!
