Well you need to say what you mean and not include broad (and false) generalities.
Your implication is that most people enjoy freedom, but only Americans consider themselves free. Or perhaps Americans consider themselves more free than the rest of the world. But you offer no evidence of your assertion. In Canada, it takes months to get some standard medical tests. In Sweden, the tax rate is above 50%, in Russia, if you print news that contradicts the government you can get arrested. There are few countries that enjoy our levels of freedom. Australia, New Zealand and England come to mind. Can you name any country with greater freedom? You can eliminate any cradle to grave socialist countries (much of Europe), any theocracy (Saudi Arabia, Iran, for example), any dictatorship, any communist regime.
That is not what I meant. Maybe I should have said >95% of citizens.
As I said, which you seem to have ignored, is that a person's freedom is dependent on the country's system, not the population of the country.
more important question...
Do most Americans appreciate their freedoms...My answer is no. Little yellow belly liberals a-- holes would be dead if they spewed half the crap they spew here in IRAN or NK or most PLACES WHERE FREEDOM isn't around.
I have been to many countries and not just in the tourist areas.
If you think America is not free then USE your freedom to leave since many other countries won't let you do that.
So far it looks like many want to USE their freedom of speech that many others don't have to just complain.
Thats ok, I fought for you to have the freedom of choice to stay or go and to complain openly if you wish along with many other freedoms you would not have in other countries. If you didn't use these freedoms then what I and others fought for would have been for nothing. Enjoy your freedom to complain about not being free.
Casino owner want customers to have good time and will generally give them freedom to say anything they want, it adds to the illusion of freedom. They also give them freedom to leave, but it is also illusion, can only leave via one tunnel which leads to another casino run by same owners.
Nope not free at all, it is illusion, ever since we were all forced to work for and spend funny money.
There is no such thing as degrees of freedom when there is such leverage against everyone, you are either free or you aren't.
It's like we all stepped inside a casino and then doors were locked. You can run around and have fun in casino, even live your entire life in there, but until you are allowed to leave your freedom is all illusion.
One day casino will burn to ground with doors locked then you will understand just how free you are.
