Citi going to $ 5.00..A Magical Place
Glad I bought 5k shares at 3.94. Along with my shares I bought 100 Jan 2011 2.50 put contracts at 0.51 cents each. If this goes to $12, I net $35k profit. If the shares somehow get wiped out I loose about $100.

You should always factor in when dealing using options what happens if the stock doesnt do much either way!

You're right. He should take another look at his math. That trade (stock and options) with stock at $12 should show a gain of about $130,000 minus long-term capital gains and transaction fees.
