is that the most urgent need that this great country of ours has is not health care reform, but more education. Most of the people here have no business playing the market and when it comes to political debate, it's sad to see that rather than policy, it goes straight into name calling.
This board is ok to waste sometime, but has zero value when it comes to learning something other than how extremely ignorant Americans have become.
That's why the USA is in trouble. Too many dumb IDIOTS.
BTW, did you see that yahoo changed their target price? I don't agree with, my target price is between $8 and $10 in the short term (<6 mos).
True intelligence is tolerant of ignorance. There will always be people of greater or lessor intelligence than ones self. There are people more innately intelligent than you and I who could not begin to pass a written grammar test.
I turned off my tv 2 months ago, and I still don't 'care about the world around me.' But that's more because I know I can't do anything about it, so why waste my energy, time, and emotions.
I've noticed that many of you are new to this board. And you showed up here during a retracement and holiday week. I suggest you go back 2 or 3 months and read all the posts before evaluating this board as worthless.
I beg to differ that there is a lack of talent here. You just haven't recognized it yet.
Isn't pointing out an error part of a solution?
And I disagree with the original post: Yes, there is tons of horse sh!t on these message boards. But sometimes there is intelligent thought...which I truly do appreciate because I am 'investment' ignorant, among many other things. But honestly that's the only reason I am here. So yes, I get sick of the crap here too.
So although I am now participating, why is there so much stuff NOT about C here? I've said it over and over: get a blog, tell your wife, but otherwise get the hell out of here with those posts not related to C.
For the record I am long on C and this is an obligatory comment as proof that I really am not a hyprocrit.
What this board tells me is that when you give people the anonymous ability to say what they like, they show their true selves. These very same people are probably extremely polite and sensible in their homes, workplaces, and among friends.
Once you start invoking anonimity, be it driving a car, or on a board like this, people feel comfortable enough to lose their inhibitions.
