    Underwriters gobbled up C shares on Dec 17th - LINK

    CNBC's David Faber reported that underwriters have been forced to gobble up shares of Citi (NYSE: C)(FREE stock trend analysis) to help prevent Citi from falling below $3 per share.

      • C underwote their own secondary offering. The Govt....I would consider them the undertakers....everything they touch .. you know

    • So, if the underwriters had to do this did they actually sell any of that 5.4+ billion shares?

      Trading volume was in the billions the couple of days following the offering.

      What if none of those shares actually sold....and they (Citi Global Markets) actually bought a few billion more those days just to keep the price from tanking drastically?
