I try to only make online purchases from only the big retailers such as Amazon or LL Bean. I do not trust using my credit card with small online retailers. The same applies to hotels. When I go to Atlantic City, I trust the big hotels with my credit cards. If I am forced to stay in a small run down motel such as during July 4th week, then I just pay cash for my room. There is no way I am going to use my credit card in some of these establishments.
Today I was surprised to find out that if you were to make a purchase from Borders for less than $25, the charge slip does not have to be signed. Is this a common practice among other retailers?
POOPSPOT12, Did you ever find out how those charges ended up on your card? Were you on a trip to Spain?
