Over Lavish dinner with 100k designer dresses
Obama concedes America over to Chinese Control.
Quite the contrary, we do this to ourselves. As benefactor of being the world's reserve currency, we are the biggest debtor nation in the world, the most voracious consumer of the world, and the most prolific paper printer of the world...in sum, all-world empire! This of course carries a lot of fringe benefits, like having most commodities and hence business transactions priced in greenbacks, but it also carries heavy responsibilities. And that is where the disconnect begins. Don't get me wrong, I do not advocate one direction or another. All I'm saying is if we are truly going to be The Empire, then let's be the best empire that we can be!! Our citizens have really gotten soft throughout the decades, and have forgotten the crucial nature of carrying the crown of reserve currency of the world. They have forgotten that we fought two world wars to get to this point, among a great many other things. They do not realize what losing the crown truly means for them and their families on a daily basis, like their standard of living dramatically changing overnight. Again, I am not arguing a policy one way or another, but wearing the crown is where we are today. So, where do we go from here????
I say relaaax. This is the same simple-minded talk that dominated in the 1980's/'90's when Japan was supposely eating our lunch, and dinner too. Bottom line? It ain't that simple.
Its sure a HOT BUTTON issue.
Americans are smart people. They recognize this. Obama is a one term President. He doesn't feel anybody's pain.He is arrogant and self serving.Lavish dinners with 100K designer dresses is inappropriate in this economic climate with so many folks out of work.He will be voted out of office.
Enough of the blame China chat.
We Americans did this to ourselves...enjoyed the sell off in the "good times". No more whining.
Sovereignty is the plan and the answer!
A sovereign nation that welcomes all who wish to come legally E pluribus unum .
Competetive nation you want to do business in.
A nation that harvest the resources and protecting the sovereignty above all else
Alowing all countries control their sovereignty
As HU said himself.
Thats how nations remain strong
We been sold out for sure this is no conspiracy
And yes we are to blame
It's our fault. Full stop.
Even the iPHONE is made in China.
If our labor is too expensive, let's use robots.
We in the west are screwed by authoritarian, communist, murdering scumbags.
They also do not play fair.
Can you buy their currency?
Can you go and set up a company in China with the ease they can in USA?
The Chinese are screwing us and I think they are piling up money for world war III. Their generals know it. Look at what has happened to anywhere where the Chinese have invaded over the last 5000 years.
Let's boycott Chinese stuff. It's hard beacuse nearly everything is made in China.
How did we get here. Bad government policies. Going on for over thirty years. Politicians sold us out. We are now indebted to them. They can blackmail us anytime they want.Time to stop the madness and put in a VAT tax. That will reverse the trend and force companies to manufacture products in the US.We do not have a fair playing field anymore. Unless we change policies and our trade practices, it only gets worse for our children and their children.Dwight Eisenhower when he left office warned us. "Beware of the growth of the military industrial complex." We did not heed his warning and advice.
Ha! That would be similar to boycotting YOURSELF.
It is our American companies that would fall flat on their rears; our AMERICAN companies who buddied up with China for cheap labor and high profits! We are in very deep. Boycott yourself...hum.
No, wherever they are forking the West around, do the same to them. RECIPROCATE. It's that easy.
You would have to go naked,no clothes are made in USA.
they may buy our land
they are rich we are poor.
They will buy our land. they will say: "your land is my land"
Keep buying all that plastic junk. Only chance we have is to westernize them and make them lazy.
It's America's own bloody fault. You let the Japanese get away with murder for years and now the Chinese are trying it on. Remember it was the French who really put the blocks to the Japanese in the 80's. When they said French skis were not suitable for Japanese snow, the French replied very fast that Japanese motorbikes were not suitable for French roads. They also decreed that all Japanese imports had to come through Dijon, an inland town. The Japanese changed their trade policies very quickly!
America needs to get tough with these folkers.
Sorry, it wasn't Dijon, it was Poitiers, chosen for its historic significance as the scene of a battle in the 8th century when the Franks hammered an Arab army invading Europe.
