Does the market cap/stock price matter to the success of the company itself?If not then we're focked! Pandit won't care about us.
Rule of thumb: Market cap multiplied by the current share price is the market value of the entire company.
I guess my real question is: buying back shares will increase the market cap.However, how will this higher market cap help the company? The only benefit is keeping the big institutional share holders happy. No other benefit so it might not be high on Pandit's priority list.
