A couple of posters on this thread criticize me for not being satisfied with C's dividend payout. As a C long, I think that this company has great potential and that's why I am a long and own C shares. For those of you who criticize me for not being satisfied with the 4 cent a year divvy, at .1% payout rate, then you are idiots for being satisfied with such a low payout.
It's very possible to be invested in C and not to be satisfied with the dividend, a penny a quarter, what a joke.
Actually, that is a very good question. Why are folks holding this "If" they are so unhappy with the stock? Me, I bought fairly low so I'm reasonably ahead in bottom line dollars. Not so much if you do the time value of money but still a respectable return. Agree with you that the divie is insufficient but I beleive the divie is contralled by the USG right now. I forsee a time in the near future where the divie will jump bigtime...but only to the 2% range.
I have a target sell point that we are fairly close to but whine about things? Not I, said the fly...
