Correct Me If I'm Wrong Here On Insider Selling...
While it is true that many insiders are selling a "large" number of shares by normal people standards, isn't it also true that most are selling only a very small portion of their overall stakes? If I had a crap load of Facebook shares that just got unlocked on November 14th, I would definitely cash in at least a little bit, right? I know I'd like to have a couple extra million in cash going into the holiday season. If most insiders were selling all of their stakes at once I would definitely be concerned, but this seems pretty normal to me.
I haven't seen anyone on here making this argument, so please correct me if I'm not reading the Form 4s correctly.
I suspect than many insiders sold the rights to their shares long before they became unlocked through private equity firms. There are probably millions of shares that were simply removed from the market and are now controlled by few hands expecting FB to go higher based on potential revenue growth. If that does not materialize then you better watch out down below.
