Facebook Revenue Gains On Mobile Growth
by Mark Walsh, Oct 23, 2012, 7:42 PM
Facebook on Tuesday reported that revenue rose 32% to $1.26 billion in the third quarter on the strength of growing mobile advertising sales. Ad revenue overall increased 36% to $1.09 billion, while mobile accounted for 14% of that total in the quarter.
A lot of people use "value" wrong. FB is not a value stock. It is growth stock.
Let's look at a growth metric and even a PE at double growth (this would be trailing not forward) is less than half of FB's current trailing PE.
FB's value is where the market puts it. While we want to put a value on it, there is none. All the potential value is in the future. That is what is called a growth stock and growth stock cannot be undervalued.
