Do you have a link to WSJ's list? I started a short position today, and I'm down about eleven cents....big deal. I'll definitely add to that if it goes up again next week, as I think the street will sell the "news" whatever it is.
Some big guys misunderstood the invitation from the Zuckerberg (FB CEO): COME AND SEE WHAT WE ARE BUILDING,
It turns out the invitation is just a social normal party to celebrate stocks from the $17s to $27++
Some reports saying that his wife is pregnant and ;he want to build more babies/ future generation for his social network.
Yes, plenty of reasons - it's making money hand over fist. It's a blow-out quarter - those mobile ads are great and people like them and they are attractive, and they came from "friends" .. people don't understand this yet .... hotels, restaurants, clothes, style, everything is being advertised to friends and the ads are cool.
You are working off an old templent - you'll see!
You cannot quantify or validate mobile click responses on ads to actual sales for advertisers. If they're just paying for clicks, fine. But besides the tablets, the smartphone interfaces are way too small, and most people find mobile ads intrusive, I know I do.
No one is denying FB is making money. It's the AMOUNT of monetization that's required to justify the market cap; that's the real issue....in other words, the stock is very overvalued.
