Facebook Earnings Beat Wall Street Consensus
Facebook[/entity] (FB) posted fourth quarter revenues of $1.59 billion compared to $1.53 billion in the same period last year. Earnings per share beat the Street by two cents per share to $0.17.
There were some positive surprises.
Mobile was around 23 percent of Facebook’s advertising revenue of $1.33 billion. For the first time in the company’s history, mobile users surpassed that of web based users. Earnings per share beat the Street by two cents per share.
