There is only 7.5% short. Hardly enough for a squeeze. Ipo should have been 18 to 20 with half the issuance of shares & more insider freeze on sales. Squeeze those #'s & come up with fair vlue. 12 to 13????
Sounds like total desperation! In fact, every desperate poster who ever posted that same post word for word felt the same way you do. Go out in your front yard and throw a bowling ball up in the air and try to stop it from coming down. That's what happens with a " Top Heavy " stock like FB.
Or we could say That The Shorts continue to rule the day and take the stock down another dollar... would that make you feel better.... No one other than the big hedge fund boys know what the hell they are going to do... Just buy more as it drops and stop trying to time the market.... If you like Facebook own it for the next year or two minimum and stop worrying about the day to day fluctuation. Even if you bought some at the IPO price and bought all the way down to $18, you are even or slightly up now because of the dollar cost averaging effect. You buy a great deal more of the stock at $18 with the same amount of money, right. Just keep buying and let Zuck and the gang handle the rest.
With the earning report yesterday, FB was able to show investors that it is on the right tract and succesful with its mobile monetize strategy, also , it was able to shut up all the rumors that FB is losing users and users interest ( its MAU now increased to 1.11 billion, and mobile MAU also increase to 750 millions).
Sentiment: Strong Buy
You are kidding, right? -OR- Do you even remotely understand the pre-conditions and dynamics of a squeeze? Here, let me make it easy for you to comprehend: If there are 10000 folks stuffed in a hall say, and there is only one small door to get out, and if some philanthropist arrives outside, and starts handing out 1 oz. gold-bar donations, naturally most of those folks will rush to get out through that small-door and a squeeze would ensue. OTOH -- imagine another scenario: Same hall with those 10000 folks and a door, and lets say a fully-loaded Waste-Management truck arrives outside from the municipality. Now, is there any reason for those folks to rush out and grab the cr*p outside? Hopefully, you get the metaphoric picture here!
