Facebook, Inc. (FB) Message Board

  • I am new to this board, and have yet to buy this stock, but one thing that I think of is being people love the social networking so much, would Facebook ever think of charging a small fee to join, it would give them a stead stream of income that it seems they are lacking, just a thought...

    • People love FREE social networking. Try to charge a penny for it and you'll flush a massive chunk of the user base down the toilet. They'lll just go somewhere else. While most won't pay for it, you might have some willing people who can't pay for it easily (kids don't normally have credit cards...I think). They could go pick up some FB access card...but that's too much hassle to maintain long term (meaning not instant gratification...a big thing for younger people).
