    • you are batting 100%, try it with 5 more stocks... if you lose on all 5... then you can market your skill and make all your money back. i know a few "biological" contacts... always wrong is very useful. in fact mine told me market crash is imminent so dow 17000 is coming for sure. don't hide your talent, enhance and monetize your talent.

    • i wanted to short twtr when it shot up to 40. i didn't. know why? simple: i didn't understand what the hell was going on with twitter. did you?? [and "it's the next big thing" does not qualify as understanding--or even being *close* to understanding--what's going on (with twtr, the stock, that is). if you can't explain (to yourself, at least), on a number of levels, why you are entering a position, then you are straight gambling (…meaning the odds are SEVERELY stacked against you). don't be surprised when you lose. [new paragraph] at $70, i *really* wanted to short twitter. i didn't. know why??? i *still* had no insight; no idea why it was going up! none. SINCE YOU ASKED, I WILL GIVE MY ADVICE. (actually, you didn't expressly ask…but the Q. was kinda implied, so here it is...) … study your stocks/markets/sectors/economy/how the mkt works behind the scenes/ the players/interconnectedness of things/market mechanics/ etc.etc.etc… abstract a thesis as to why you will make money with what you're doing--then do it.

      • do your due diligence. then pull the trigger…or don't. you don't need to know everything…just enough to allow you to make money trading stocks. parse these boards, and be careful who's "info" you follow. (of course that includes me.) if you believe there is a set way to make money trading/investing, i think your are either a fool, or innocently ignorant. (i would err to the latter.) anyway, don't flick-off your money. if it's no object, that's a sin. if it can't afford to be flicked-off…well, hell, that's a sin as well. and if you must lose your money… … … know that i am likely to at some time be on the other side of that trade--taking it.
