TPG GROUP HOLDINGS (SBS) ADVISORS, INC. on 12/31/2012 owned 73,227,500 shares of NTI, 29% of their portfolio.. They have sold ytd 26,105,000 shares leaving them with 47,122,500 shares still owning 51% of NTI stock. They are actively trading the stock causing volatility. Citigroup, Fidelity ,and Morgan Stanley sold over 2 million shares combined in the past quarter. On the other hand BAC, GS, DB, and Guggenheim bought over 2 million shares last quarter. Will TPG stop selling this quarter to hold on to that 51%? TPG on 07/30/12 sold their entire position and then bought it back on 09/30/2012. They don't seem to be married to the stock.
