    The Height Of Hypocrisy

    And I quote.....
" The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our governments reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership, Americans deserve better."
    Senator Barack H. Obama, 2006
Ironic, that no truer words were ever spoken, coming from a person who is now emblematic of the hypocrisy and fraud in government today, being perpetrated on the nation by BOTH political parties.

Sumrtym: The first sentence is entirely true - a failure of leadership. However the failure lies with the House Republican leadership because he cannot control the extremist elements in his own caucus in order to agree on funding the budget items they'd already agreed on.
But America now knows the Republicans' game plan - to hold the economy hostage to their demands and try to force everyone else to turn away in terror.
You got your clock cleaned, though, didn't you, Sumrtym, and now your seething anger is sending that displaced aggression out to wheeze out your silly accusations against everybody except those in whom the fault lies. But take heart and remember the words of Odysseus to his men as they returned to Athens after the Trojan War, ironically passed to us in Latin - "Forsan et haec olim memenissi juvabit." Remember that, Sumrtym, and your living will be easy.

    • the problem with your narrative is it requires you to ignore that Bush was handed a surplus and needed to raise the debt limit. President Obama was handed a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit and an economy with -8.9% GDP and losing 700,000 jobs a month.

see how your silly narratives cant withstand the slightest scrutiny. Its why you shouldn’t rely on bumper stickers as a source of information.

    • Jerk!
You just now reaklized our US TBills are purchased the world over and HAVE been for MANY years (decades)?
They should let you read a newspaper in that old coots home once in a while!
      LMAO

    • The lie...we need to cover the uninsured. The truth...almost 2/3s of said uninsured are the "invincibles", the younger healthier persons who are now being forced, at financial gunpoint, to pay for the older sicker persons and the ever expanding generational entitlement crowd, beyond what they already pay in social security, medicare and medicaid etc... taxes assuming they are working. Forwarded out of a sense of caring rather than the REALITY of necessity of their financial participation to balance the actuarial tables.
The lie....substandard policies being replaced. The truth....having a policy that fits a person medical needs at an affordable price, if you can even call it affordable. Our resident zombie liberal, cw, loves this one, his newest in a long line of wholly partisan party talking points. Now why would anyone want a health ins. policy that fit their needs when they can buy a policy that covers everything and everyone? Because it drives the cost of insurance for them to new heights (of hypocrisy)? Because it puts further out of reach, regardless of work ethic, any attempt to raise ones standard of living?
Just tell it like it is and be done with it.....
EVERYBODY OWES, EVERYBODY PAYS The Gangs Of D.C.
........"Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren." Love Barry

    • I posted this brilliant quote before...BO apologists will make various excuses. I keep wondering how long the 'it's Bush's fault' excuse will be used. I'm guessing it will be used until BO finally exits the White House.

    • You left out the part where he said Bush was unpatriotic.

      Don
