I know upfront that MP3 is going to receive great ratings. Plus playing it will be so so so so much fun. I just dont understand why preorders are under 300,000 on videochartz and the game is coming out on May 15.
Even on amazon this game is not tracking that good. Maybe the 59.99 price tag for new games are almost dead. I really want to invest in ttwo. Any pep talk on MP3. Thanks...
If you need a pep talk then I would suggest you either don't buy, or perhaps go short. There is always the possibility this game could be one of those very critically acclaimed (possibly) but not sell as well as expected, or maybe even sell poorly. We won't know until we know, but by then it will be too late for a trade or investment IMO.
By the way Outlaw is busy doing the Zumba dance on the cool board:)
Got out of cool with a very good profit dont believe in that stock no more.
Got killed with thq but at least sold the shares at or around 1.70.
No way I will short this stock. Just a little nervous about pulling the trigger at the moment. Max Payne 3 has to sell around 4 million copies to break even around. Pre order numbers scare me.
Look at mass effect 3. I really really thought the game would sell much more than it has sold at the moment. Lucky I sold right after the presentation with a jump up in price. But it really feels like more video game players are not buying as many games as before. Look I can be mistaken just trying to figure out to buy or not lol:)
It's rockstar. Whatever they touch turns to gold. Was talking to a GameStop rep last night and he says preorders started picking up in the last 2 weeks. Once the game is released and the buzz is out its gonna sell like hot cakes. JMO
Not to mention, while preoders are decent indicators, I have never understood the point, other than to have the game first. You can pretty much walk into any VG seller on any given Tuesday and pick up whatever is new. It's not like new hardware which has limited production when it first hits stores that results in EBAY sales for double the retail price.
I don't put much stock in preorders either way, high or low. It's R*, it's Payne, it's got MP, but many might still be taking the wait and see approach.
