Anyone adding to their existing holdings?

They will also be selling some assets "AET&D" & "CSC" to reduce debt in the future.

CSC is extremely small and I don't think it makes a material difference. Not too sure about AET&D.

I noticed I did not factor in the $300 BIP is paying for DBCT and something like $150M or so that they are going to allocate to paying down PD debt.

I hate being the first one to post an opinion on something like this. I always find errors afterwards. But I presume there has to be someone out there reading, right? There can't be no shareholders out there, right?

      What's your take?

      • They are proposing to invest around $635m in restructured BBI, $265m in DBCT & $160m in PD Port. So the restructured BBI does not include PD Port and only 49.9% of DBCT & thus the obligations.

But I beleive, BIP must have gone though the detail analysis than we have, to enter into such a large transaction, in this credit constraint environment.

But I would be watching it closely, would add 25% of my existing holding in BIP if it falls below 12.5 and would add depending on the progress they are making in restructing.

Keep an eye on is the slow down in china all are expecting in the 2nd quater of 2010. Also keep an eye on the cost cutting initiatives after capital commitment.

Disclosure: I had only gone through the overview of their recapitalisation proposal.

      • Pretty good summary actually. Nice job.
To me it feels like they are buying .65-.80 cents on the dollar (ballpark)
