I have BOP in my Roth IRA. It's my understanding that dividends in a Roth IRA are tax free. Do I need to amend my taxes if I've filed already. I'm just a small fish with Gross earning >40K.
I have researched the topic and will take the appropriate action. Didn't realize that investing in BIP would mean more paperwork at tax time.
just out of curiousity - We are holding BIP in our Schwab account. Will we get any kind of notification from Schwab about the K-1 info being avail, or is it our responsibility to know and check the BIP website ?I seem to recall that BIP actually had a TurboTax file avail for downloading your specific data - after entering some input fields.
bip will mail to you or you can get faster by going on web site
