    Why are Earnings So Negative?

Can someone explain why Neptune's earnings have been historically so incredibly negative? They have a unique product and apparently their formulation of oil is preferred by many vendors. That shows up in a high gross margin. Yet the company has consistently historically lost money, both GAAP earnings as well as free cash flow. They cannot even get their operating cash flow to breakeven. Can someone explain why this is?
