What's the Best Silver Investment? AG is the clear winner.
“The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but that's the way to bet.”
I like Coeur (CDE/CDM) at these levels. They will produce 20M oz of silver this year and 250,000 oz of gold.
In my opinion its the most undervalued producer out there right now by far..
"Best" investment may not be the one with the highest percentage gain. We know that AG has also been very volatile, and some investors don't like big price swings. I do, because I trade them. I never seem to be able to buy at the absolute low, nor sell at the absolute peak price. But usually I'm able to grab a big piece of the swing. IMO silver will someday be trading above $100, but the upward ride will be very volatile. Therefore, I consider AG to be a great trading stock, but not necessarily one best suited for longer term investing. SS
The problem with AGQ is that in a yo-yo market it will decline because it's doubled up.
I think, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, that if the price of silver fell 50%, AGQ would fall 100% (go to 0).
Comparing AG with other silver miners does make sense. Past performance doesn't GUARANTEE future results, but it does give an indication.
AG is a well managed company with increasing production, low costs, new properties coming on line, as well as a history of rapidly increasing stock price.
AG does have the potential with decreasing costs, increasing resources, major increases in production as well as technical improvements and growing cash balances. If the La Luz silver project ever becomes permitted it will be a mind blowing event with huge potential. It would be the vechile for AG to reach 20,000 ounces per year production, if it does not get approved they will purchase a junior silver company.
