    The Quote of the Decade:

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
    ~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006~

The scene looks/appears differently dependent upon the location of the observer. I imagine Mt. Everest looks forbidding from the foothills of the Himalayas, but looks pretty from the summit.

In 2006, Hussein was a rookie US Senator from Chief Illini country and Cook County with Georgie Porgie in the White House.

Today, he is in the White House and is charged with being The Chief National Manager, a task he is most unqualified to handle. But the voters gave him the opportunity with HOPE and CHANGE to do the job. I gave him credit for The Affordable Healthcare Act and for bringing justice to Usama bin Laden in Abbottabad, Pakistan where he was being harborded by the Paki ISI.

He was awarded an honorific Nobel Prize, not for accomplishing anything ,but for the promise of ????? He didn't get much else done, as far as I can recall, of real importance. All IMHO.

        Mr. Congeniality
