    Provocation

i never heard of 12 mile beach until you mentioned it. at least, it's in the u.s.

"Do you agree or disagree that our military-industrial-intelligence complex is the driver of our national economy which is now categorized as being composed of 90% service-related jobs."

i don't know if that's right or not. but right or wrong, SO WHAT??

what would the economy be w/o it if that's true?

what are you going to suggest as a replacement?

Oh, Pebs, what a dancer/prancer youse be! Methinks youse realizes that the provocation was true, but youse don't want to admit it.

"What would the economy be w/o if if that's true?" REDIRECTED!

Howze about infrastructure development and redevelopment? Things like roads and bridges and airport runways? Schools and parks? And four thousand ideas MORE.

But NO, wheeze be trapped in the Eisenhower Age of the military-industrial-intelligence complex. Policemen of the World. Protector of Human Rights (when we think that is a good excuse and useful to our interests)! The calvary riding to the rescue of western civilization!

IF the US economy is truly based upon 90% of jobs being service-related, where is our wealth going to come from? The basics used to be mine it, grow it, make it! Now we have the insurance salesmen selling annuities, the annuitants paying their hairdressers, the hairdressers buying fast-food, the cooks purchasing gasoline as fuel for their vehicles, and the auto insurers buying annuities; or so it seems. All IMHO.

      • i'm not dodging (dancing).

i agree with your point about "service-related" jobs, but aren't those jobs necessary?

if you had more people "mining, growing & making", would that make those other "service-related" jobs unnecessary?

would you really want have a reduced military in order to provide labor for those "mining, growing & making" jobs?

we live in a more dangerous world than ever and i, personally, want this country to remain "Policemen of the World. Protector of Human Rights (when we think that is a good excuse and useful to our interests)! The calvary riding to the rescue of western civilization!"

god help us when we're not!!!!!!
