    susan rice

    let me make myself clear:

    i have no problem should obama recommend her to replace hillary clinton as sec'y of state.

    she would simply come clean and clear up these two statements she made:

    As a senior U.S. diplomat, I agreed to a White House request to appear on the Sunday shows to talk about the full range of national security issues of the day, which at that time were primarily and particularly the protests that were enveloping and threatening many diplomatic facilities, American diplomatic facilities around the world, and Iran's nuclear program.

    The attack on our facilities in Benghazi was obviously a significant piece of this.

    she followed with:

    When discussing the attack against our facilities in Benghazi, I relied solely and squarely on the information provided to me by the intelligence community,

    what would it take to clear up the matter?? ONE NAME; that's all it would take.

    what's the name of that ONE PERSON from the intelligence community that gave here the information on which she SOLELY and SQUARELY relied?

    • While serving as senior foreign policy advisor to Senator Barack Obama in his 2008 presidential campaign, Rice took a disparaging view of Obama's Republican opponent, John McCain, calling his policies "reckless" and dismissing the Arizona Senator's trip to Iraq as "strolling around the market in a flak jacket".

      Obviously, McCain has an axe to grind with Rice which accounts for his relentless campaign to deny her nomination to replace Hillary.

      Really sad to see McCain reduced to such a petty, bitter, and vengeful old man in the twilight of his career. PATHETIC! I have lost all respect for McCain.

        Old Johnny McCain is the disgruntled Manchurian Candidate in his dotage. Susan Rice not only represents a slur upon his warrior instincts, she be a Husseinite trying to go places. McCain became a carpetbagger career politiician on the strength of his father-in-law's money and influence. He is frustrated; this battling sailor thought he deserved to be POTUS, but the voters thought otherwise. He has not been much of a successful legislator, if laws enacted under his original impetus are a measure, but he has been a blustering, bloviating, media darling. He needs to retire to his ranch in Cornville and raise cannabis and chickens. All IMHO.

      When Hussein named Hilarious Hilary as his nominee to be Secretary of State that gesture was in keeping with a long line of precedents. Many winning candidates used cabinet appointments to patch up inter-party factionalism and the Clinton nomination seemed to be in perfect order; she had been a formidable primary opponent with a following during the donkey primaries preceeding the 2008 election; she had bowed out and supported Hussein for POTUS rather than sitting on the sidelines; she was rewarded.

      Throughout American history youse will find similar stories of defeated primary candidates being given cabinet appointments in the interests of party unity. Since the Secretary of State is the senior cabinet officer, that is usually a plum position. By the way, if youse don't like my historical opinion, please consider how Abe Lincoln made William Seward his Secretary of State. {Having mentioned Lincoln, have all of youse viewed Daniel Day-Lewis' portrayal under Steven Spielberg's direction in the movie? Looks like Best Actor Academy Award, Best Picture Academy Award, and Best Director Academy Award, too!}

      Neither Condie Babe nor Susan are in the same category. Tokenism for the non-white planet dwellers. All IMHO.

      I respectfully nominate CIA Spy Chief David BeTrayUs.

      Hell, he already disgraced himself by having an affair with a woman who didn't love him, fell on his sword for that moral misstep, and resigned an important link in our national security operations. Let him take the responsibility for Susan Rice, too.

      By the way, I do not believe that Susan Rice should be US Secretary of State anymore than I though Condie Babe should have taken that important cabinet post as leader of our foreign affairs policy.

      Two (2) unqualified black rices don't make the best American State Department pudding. [No racial prejudice or racial remarks intended!] All IMHO.
