Kid murdered in Houston TX after purchasing new AirJordan athletic shoes

Is this just a natural extension of the "Entitlements" mentality that pervades this declining society?

"If it is out there and I want it, I am justified to obtain it because I am entitled to it; if I choose to kill somebody to steal the item, that is OK and I can justify it because I am entitled."

What every happened to the cultural influences that mandate that if something was worth possessing, it was worth WORKING for to obtain it? Seems like regression to the Law of the Jungle.

Now it seems, that if it out there and I want it, I should be entitled to possess it simply because it is an entitlement of being a member of the human clan. Nutsy, I say. All IMHO.

Oh yes, I need to include a few illustrative data pieces to make the story even clearer:

      1. Age of the murder victim ---- 16 years of age!
      2. Retail cost of highly-desired newly-released Nike Air Jordan athletic shoes ----- $185 per pair.
      3. Age of alleged murderers (who have been apprehended) ---- 18 years of age.

When teenaged bulling becomes a deadly crime against person as a property crime.

'Tis a deteriorating criminal society out there, enhanced and bolstered by claims of entitlement. All IMHO.
