Say someone gets an athletic and/or academic scholarship, shouldn't they be paying it back withing 2 years of leaving school and/or getting their degree?
I mean that covers masters degrees. We can extend the MDs degrees for the healthscare's sake.
Think about it, this is no different than hitting the lottery, an inheritance, a loan to start a business....
Did you mean Scholarship or Student Loan ?...Answer is Scholarship is NO...Student loan YES..For repayment..IMO..

I think they ought to be. #$%$, it's like winning the lottery and if someone is taxed for earnings why not on those?
