Nepotism and new CEO\President, Reece Kurtenbach

Nepotism runs amok at Daktronics. I question the Daktronics Board of Directors vetting and choice for CEO\President. Reece Kurtenbach has had multiple alcohol related driving under the influence (DUI) convictions. He's had no experience running a business of any kind.

    Sentiment: Buy

    • What does a DUI have to do with anything? Winston Churchill ran WWII pretty good while stewed half the time. You should go to happy hour more often.

      • It is the prude hiding in all of us.
I think that a certain amount of red wine in your blood does enhance your brain activity.
Science is beginning to understand this and has recognized the antihistamine power of revestrarol and other compounds found in wine.
I wonder if some wine daily could have a beneficial effect on those prone to alzheimer.
It would be an interesting piece of scientific/medical work however because of the known bad side of drinking I doubt it will ever be carried out.

        Sentiment: Hold

    • Do you have any proof of these DUIs? I cant seem to find them anywhere, but I have seen Reece drunk at Rays and Cubbies before.

Nepotism is the bigger problem though. Who runs hr? Carla Gatzke, who was borne Carla Kurtenbach. Who runs manufacturing? Matt Kurtenbach Who is, still for some reason, a VP even though they dont do squat? Frank Kurtebach. Who founded the company and still sits on the board? Aelred Kurtenbach. Who is going to be the next CEO? Reece Kurtenbach.

I know having people who know the business is a benefit, but its also runs into the risk of inbreeding of thoughts. And the last couple years are evidence of this. There are no new idea coming out of this place.

Dont be fooled investors....this company may be public, but it is run like a family business, with no performance evaluations done for the people at the top. Hence, subpar performance.

Look for this one to be rough stock for the next couple of year.

      Sentiment: Sell
