Well, I personally will be dropping AOL by March and will be sampling other providers. Why not? All the other providers are offering free samples. AOL is the only one I've tried so far mainly because they were just as cheap as all the others.
Now that AOL has announced they are raising rates... well it has given me just the nudge I needed to go sample the competition. What AOL is saying to me is that it plans to become the most expensive service around. It sends a message to me that they will be raising prices many more times to come in the months and years ahead. This will be great for the shareholders, but think like a consumer. We hate rate increases!!! Ask AT&T, Sprint, & MCI. You don't see evryone signing up for the most expensive long distance phone rates!
Well I'm not hooked on AOL... so I will look to other providers and sample their service free for awhile and then sign-up in time at a lower price per month. I've been hearing I just may find a better service out there anyway. Well thanks for the shove out the door AOL.
