I bought in at 120....Have sat on my butt since
AOL was at 40 3 years ago when they first went with
unlimited access...I have missed numerous splits and to say
the least, lots of profit. Just asking peoples
opinion about me buying in at 120....Was it a good
decision or could I have waited for it to get
Yea, so have a lot of other people. Remember 3
years ago AOL was just another access provider and a
not very good one in my opinion. Today it is much
more that just an access provider, it is software
(with Netscape) hardware (with Dell and maybe even Sun)
it is e-commerce! Put a value to that! Also remember
AOL cap is about $56B while Microsoft is about $325B,
which do you think is going to have the most growth in
the next year?
Brian, there is no guarantee that you could get
it cheaper. I've
been waiting for it to get
cheaper since it has been in the high
90's. Well, I
finally got tired of waiting and bought in today
120 myself. Don't sweat it. I think you would feel
worse if you didn't buy it and it went to 150 in the
meantime. Just hang on!
Cheaper--your kidding right? Perhaps after the
March-April 2:1 split (wait and see), but please don't
confuse affordable with cheaper.
Oh to be
looooonnnngggg on AOL on days like these. CSCO been kinda a nice
to me this year too. Thanks Santa, I must have been
very good this year!!! Get to work oh foolish
shorts---time is money in the a.m.
And the hits just
keep on coming...it really pays to be long and

well have been able to buy on a dip. Talk with
mprofita. He was on the sidelines waiting for a dip back in
the 90's. It never came and I think he got in around
100. There's nothing more painful than being on the
sidelines during a run. Been there and done that..........
Hang on for the long haul. My basis is about $77/share
and I'm loving every minute of it.
