    • I can't believe ATHM or noone else supports all
      of Silicon
Valley. This is where all the geeks
      are who are more than
      happy to pay extra for
higher speed, but there are many
      areas which are not
      supported.

    • MediaOne Improves Its High-Speed Internet Service
      Offering
by Launching MediaOne Road Runner in Los Angeles
      On May
      20

      Change Brings Richer Broadband
      Content to MediaOne Customers

      EL SEGUNDO,
      Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 1999--Tomorrow, Los Angeles
      residents will see a
      new face on their
      high-speed
      Internet service.

      MediaOne Express, the
high-speed Internet service of MediaOne, officially becomes
      MediaOne Road
      Runner, ushering in a new
      era of
Broadband content delivery on the Web. Los Angeles
residents will be the first to receive the new
      Road
      Runner branding that
is being rolled out across the
nation during the second quarter of 1999. The change
      will significantly expand
      content developed

specifically for high-speed Internet connections. The
changeover of the service to Road Runner is the final

      step in transitioning the
      online service to the
joint venture formed last year between MediaOne Group,
      Time Warner, Microsoft,
      Compaq and

      Advance/Newhouse.

      More than 100,000 MediaOne high-speed
customers in the Los Angeles area as well as nationwide
      will now
      experience life-enriching
      multimedia
Internet content delivered over Road Runner's Broadband
      network.

``My wife says she's become an Internet
widow because Broadband has opened up a whole new world
      to
me,'' said Paul Ash, a Los
      Angeles MediaOne
Express customer. ``I can communicate with the click of a
      mouse across the globe and
      have access to

information that has never been available to me before. I can
stay in touch with relatives, friends and old

      business
      acquaintances. Best
      of all, it's costing
me less than what I was paying for a second phone
line and a subscription to an Internet
      service
      provider.''

    • When I was still playing Q2, before I went to rehab, I had a ping of 25-75 at all times. Your buddy may just have bad service

    • <EOM>

    • eom. BELLS will offer it in my area. F*** cable.

    • I don`t know how secure TV cable works in
      the
US but I`m working for a nationwide cable
      radio
station in germany and we`ve lot of problems with
      our
distribution. Cable sometimes is really a mess.
      Breakdowns
nearly everyday for 1000s of households.

      I don`t
think that surfing the net via cable will be
      the
      final solution.
