Lets get ready to rumble... Merill Lynch issued a
report this morning saying that:
o There has been much speculation that AOL's
subscriber growth in the June
quarter will be slower
than expected, and this has contributed to weakness in
o Based on recent conversations
with management, we believe subscriber
come in at the low end of the guidance range, which
o Because the
company has significantly exceeded expectations for the
few quarters, this performance will likely
disappoint some investors."
No wonder the
institutions have been bailing out recently.

Hello, i think aol can pretty come out with any rev and
earnings numbers that they want.
I just bought AOL at 106. Would love to see it go
to 95, so I could buy more!!!
Long term is
the word. Sorry about people who go sucked in @175,
but that's life. I've bought too high on occasion,
but I hope not this time.
I had been a long AOLer. I used to be
contemptuous of the
fools like EEE_MIKE and other AOL
But now, I have to agree with EEE_MIKE
and other shorters.
Last two months have been
their months. I lost shit load
of money while still
remaining faithful AOL long.
But no more. I think
AOL could go as low as 95 if not lower
going up. I think AOL will linger into low 100s
June 30 FOMC meeting.
Then we will be luck if
AOL runs up and trades at 175 high
by August. I
said August and not end of the year because
August, all stocks are headed south because of
effect and Y2K fears!!
So our best hope for AOL
high is August period.
You win EEE_MIKE. I have
lost faith in Steve Case and the
refuse to bring any positive news to the front.
